Rachel C. Wolfe
Holistic Health Practitioner
On my way to Portland my plan took an unexpected twist. A two month project and family visit grew into a three year commitment of living in a small town on the beautiful Umpqua River and working as a Project Manager for a Development Corporation, and as a Real Estate Agent.
Throughout this time my continued studies and practices in areas of the Healing Arts gave me a deep desire to make them a focus of my life.
My research into schools led me to Heartwood Institute, and I eagerly enrolled in their year long residential Holistic Health Practitioner Program. I also planned a trip to India, where I attended a Yoga Teacher Training Program, a Vipassana Meditation Course, and traveled through some of the country.
The experiences I received in India, at Heartwood, and with Vipassana have been deeply profound. I have embodied the skills of a quality practitioner with a sensitive and confident touch. I am in an ever increasing state of gratitude and wonderment of the limitless wisdom and potential given through the Healing Arts. I am dedicated to my continuous learning and honored to share all I have to give.

My interest in the Healing Arts began with my introduction to Yoga and the very first book I read on energy (Shakti Gawain's Creative Visualization). I had just began my college career at CSU, Chico where I graduated with a degree in Child Development and a minor in Psychology.
I worked my way through college as a
Preschool Teacher. During this time I began to develop my Yoga practice in my living room with the help of books and video tapes. I also enjoyed, as often as possible, reading a variety of books about nutritional healing and spirituality. A year after graduating from college and working full time teaching and managing a preschool, I planned to move to Portland
